Using Unlox

You may use Unlox only if you can form a binding agreement and only in compliance with these Terms, applicable law, SoundCloud rules, and any rights held by artists, labels, collaborators, or other third parties.

Artist login currently uses email login links. SoundCloud authorization is optional for artists, but required when you create or use SoundCloud follow or like gates. By connecting SoundCloud, you authorize Unlox to use your connected SoundCloud account only to operate the app, including track resolution and requested like or follow actions.

Artist Responsibilities

Artists keep ownership of their music and uploaded files. By uploading a track or creating a link, you give Unlox the limited permission needed to host the file privately, display track and link information, generate download links, and deliver the download to people who complete the unlock steps or receive a valid direct link.

You are responsible for making sure you own or control all rights needed to upload, promote, and distribute each file, including rights in the recording, composition, artwork, samples, remixes, stems, and metadata.

Do not upload files that are unlawful, infringing, malicious, deceptive, or intended to harm Unlox, SoundCloud, artists, fans, or infrastructure providers.

Fan Responsibilities

Fans may use download links only as intended by the artist. Do not bypass unlock steps, automate unlocks, abuse SoundCloud actions, share private direct links without permission, or redistribute files in a way that violates the artist's rights.

Links and Downloads

Artists can create track links that are one-time, reusable, time-limited, public, or gated. SoundCloud-gated links may ask fans to connect SoundCloud and complete a requested follow or like action. Download tokens are temporary and may stop working after use, expiration, deletion, or abuse-prevention action. Unlox may block or remove files, tracks, links, or accounts that appear to violate these Terms or create risk for the service.

Privacy

Unlox is intentionally privacy-minimal. We collect and store only the data needed to authenticate users, run track links, verify requested SoundCloud gates, host private downloads, provide basic operational stats, and secure the platform. The Privacy page explains this in more detail and is part of these Terms.

Service Changes

Unlox may change, suspend, or discontinue features as the product evolves, especially while the platform is early. We try to avoid disrupting live artist links, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability or permanent storage.

Account and Data Requests

You can ask us to delete your Unlox account data, SoundCloud tokens, tracks, links, uploaded files, or fan account record. Some limited records may be retained when needed for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or aggregate operational statistics.

No Warranties

Unlox is provided as is and as available. We do not promise that every SoundCloud action, download, file upload, or third-party integration will work without interruption or error.
